Ban on pet sales at Victoria stores
Pet outlets in Victoria will not be permitted to promote cats, dogs or rabbits just after council handed a movement this week to ban the sale of the animals.
Council provided a chance for any one to weigh in on the concern Thursday evening, but experienced no takers.
Coun. Charlayne Thornton-Joe, who was behind the force, said the Animal Obligation Amendment Bylaw will prevent any person from environment up shop in the city to sell cats, canine or rabbits.
There is presently just one pet retail store in the town, and it does not offer any of these animals.
