Bidens welcome Willow the cat to the White House

WASHINGTON (Reuters) – The Biden family ultimately has a cat.
First girl Jill Biden’s business office has announced America’s to start with household is energized to welcome a two-calendar year-old, grey-and-white-striped feline named Willow to the White Home.
Biden, a community university professor, named the cat immediately after her hometown of Willow Grove, Pennsylvania, the 1st lady’s spokesperson Michael LaRosa stated.
“A farm cat from Pennsylvania, Willow manufactured fairly an impact on Dr. Biden in 2020 when she jumped up on the stage and interrupted her remarks in the course of a marketing campaign end,” LaRosa explained. “Looking at their fast bond, the operator of the farm understood that Willow belonged with Dr. Biden.”
Dr. Biden experienced claimed in April that the family members experienced a female cat “waiting around in the wings.”
The inexperienced-eyed, short-haired tabby cat was settling in nicely at the White Residence with “her favorite toys, treats, and lots of space to scent and explore,” LaRosa reported.
In December the Bidens welcomed a new pet dog loved ones, a German Shepherd named Commander, who was four months previous at the time.
Their pet Champ died previously in 2021. Major, a rescue the loved ones adopted just before coming to the White Home, is residing offsite with spouse and children close friends right after reported biting incidents at the White Residence.
