Dog with gunshot wounds adopted by Flagler County employee

An employee with the Flagler County Sheriff’s Office environment resolved to adopt the canine.

His former proprietor, Jamier Lee-Shiny, 25, was billed with felony cruelty to animals and tampering with bodily evidence for allegedly capturing the puppy, deputies said.

Many neighbors of Lee-Vibrant identified as 911 Saturday afternoon, declaring to have listened to gun shots and puppies yelping, an FCSO police report shows.

When deputies built speak to with Lee-Dazzling, he was exhibiting “concerning” actions and experienced what appeared to be blood on his face, which he claimed was from shaving. 

Officers also observed a freshly dug gap in Lee-Bright’s yard. The suspect reported he was planting a new tree, but there ended up no new or unplanted trees on the scene, according to a report by the responding deputy.

Lee-Brilliant explained to detectives he was woken up by a household member screaming that the pet experienced bitten her. He retrieved his firearm, took the puppy outdoors and shot it in the head, he explained, according to the information release.

Lee-Dazzling stated he dragged the pet dog again inside of and locked it in its kennel. He tried to cleanse the blood off his patio to prevent any individual from understanding what took place.

They were able to identify the pet, who was “visibly in soreness,” deputies explained. The investigation identified that the doggy was within the kennel for over two hours before legislation enforcement arrived.

Responding deputy Bryan Frederick wrote in his report that officers transported the dog to Flagler Animal Healthcare facility. The pet “dropped consciousness on various situations.” 

But there is excellent information: The doggy, Rocky, who was explained by deputies as “medium male brindle shepherd/terrier combine,” is likely to be all right, FSCO said.

Quickly-ahead five weeks immediately after the incident, Rocky has officially been adopted. 

His new relatives claims rocky loves playing in his yard and heading on auto rides.

They say he enjoys every person he meets. And a tiny love goes a very long way.

“He’s capable to place excess weight on his leg now, but continue to hops when he attempts to transfer immediately,” his adopter mentioned. “He’s extremely playful, enjoys his toys, is great with our other dog, and enjoys everybody he meets. He’s under no circumstances even growled at us, not like his preceding loved ones claimed. A very little love goes a lengthy way!”
