Middletown Police Investigate Theft of Puppy from Pet Shop

UPDATE: The puppy has been returned unharmed. Law enforcement have designed an arrest.

Middletown, NJ – On May well 19, 2022 at about 1:15p.m., Middletown Twp. Police responded to The Pet Store, found at 1284 Condition Route 35, for a report of a pet becoming stolen from the retail store.  The operator documented that a younger black male arrived into the store and requested if the store had any cockapoo or goldendoodle puppies for sale.  The suspect then commenced to perform with a cockapoo pup, a 10-week-old feminine with brown fur, that was accessible for acquire.  Inside times, the issue picked up the dog and ran from the retail outlet.  The suspect ran to an adjacent parking large amount and received into a little black SUV, perhaps a Nissan Rouge, with the partial New Jersey license plate of “X58.”  

The suspect is described as a younger, black male wearing a blue surgical mask, ripped black denims, orange Crocs, and a black sweatshirt.  The sweatshirt had the text “Key Street” on the sleeves in white lettering.
