Neighbors on alert after third suspicious dog death in Darlington County community

DARLINGTON COUNTY, S.C. (WMBF) – Neighbors in a Darlington County community are frightened for their pets’ protection after they said a 3rd doggy from their community was killed.

The most current case happened more than the weekend when George, a 10-thirty day period-old English bulldog, was claimed lacking from his home on Friday after escaping via a fence opening. According to the Darlington County Sheriff’s Place of work, on Saturday, George was located shot and mutilated just 3 miles absent in Chesterfield County.

Owners Shannon Simmons and Caroline Perry have been thousands of miles away on family vacation when they received the devastating news.

Simmons mentioned this loss truly would make her uneasy about returning residence.

“I’m just dreading going back there. We pass up him of course, a ton. But a section of us, I’m like truly pissed. I’m angry that somebody could do this to him,” reported Simmons.

The tragedy has been oddly common to neighbors who reported in latest months one particular dog was shot and one more was allegedly poisoned in their local community.

Back in February, neighbor Shannon Jordan said her canine was shot whilst enjoying outside the house. Now she’s fearful to let her other pet dogs out of her sight.

“You want to think that nobody in your community could’ve killed your canine,” claimed Jordan. “So now I’m afraid, I have other animals and I’m afraid to let them outside the house.”

Close by neighbors explained it is frightening for the reason that and it is so near to home.
